Giraffe retro counted cross stitch pattern instant download PDF. Easy, great needlepoint project for beginners. This mid century modern style giraffe design uses two embroidery hoop frames. You will download two PDF files of this pattern after cleared payment. The two parts of the pattern are approximately 80 x 80 stitches each. I used 22 ct. with 4" hoops. If you prefer a larger stitching fabric just remember that your cross stitch will increase in size as your fabric squares increase in size (see tip below). Your pattern will include suggested floss colors and will be in represented in symbols over colors. Simple design with regular full cross stitches only!
This is not a listing for the finished product. You will receive a charted pattern download.
TIP: for figuring out what hoop size to use based on the preferred count of your stitching fabric:
A 4" hoop has approximately 3.75" of workable surface (due to the space claimed by the inner hoop. 22 ct fabric has 22 stitches per inch, so 3.75 x 22 = 82.5 workable stitches for this pattern.
If you want to use 14 count fabric, then 82.5 x 14= 5.89 approximate inches of work surface necessary. So round up and use a 6" embroidery hoop! You can see how this formula will work with any fabric count!
Have fun and happy stitching!
